COURSE UPDATES: GREENS & GREAT COFFEE!
There’s been plenty of exciting activity happening at Brighton Golf Course as we continue working to enhance your experience both on and off the course. Here’s what’s new:
Greens Restoration Underway
We’ve just completed significant turf replacement on eight of our greens, including both the putting and chipping practice greens. Some areas received minor repairs, while others underwent more extensive restoration.
Greens replaced include:
- Hole 2
- Hole 3
- Hole 12
- Hole 16
- Hole 17
All have been freshly surfaced with beautiful bent grass, and we’re looking forward to seeing them return to their best condition over the coming weeks.
We appreciate your patience as the repairs continue to settle in – most will take a couple of weeks to fully bed in.
A Big Thank You to Our Volunteers
A special shout-out to the incredible volunteers from Brighton Golf Club who helped lay the new turf on the 9th fairway. We’re really looking forward to that couch grass bedding in and spreading – thank you for being part of the improvements!
Cooler Months = Project Time
The winter period is the perfect time for us to tackle key course projects. Most recently, we completed a full reshaping of the 18th bunkers on either side of the green – and they’re looking great! Keep an eye out for more course enhancements coming soon.
Fresh Coffee Incoming
Our much-loved coffee machine has served us well for years, but it’s time for a well-deserved retirement. We’ll soon be introducing a brand-new coffee machine, arriving late May to early June.
