Repair Pitch Marks
When golf balls fall from the sky and hit the putting green, they make tiny craters called pitch marks. If left unfixed the resulting depression can make putts bounce offline and damage healthy grass. Repairing these pitch marks is a part of golf course etiquette, but many golfers forget to do it.
Each time you walk onto a green during your round, make sure you repair your pitch mark and whilst you have the repair tool out why not fix another one or two! The best way to repair a pitch mark is by inserting your repair tool at a 45 degree angle into the raised area behind the dent, then pull the tool towards the centre of the hole. Work your way around the dent until the area is filled in, then use the bottom of your putter to gently tap down the area until the surface is level again.
