9th Hole Reopening at Brighton Golf Course

9th Hole Reopening at Brighton Golf Course cover

We’re excited to announce the upcoming reopening of the 9th hole at Brighton Golf Course — the one and only par 5 on the course to finish off the front nine. Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers, we laid 150sqm of new turf to bring this classic hole back to life.

While the green is not quite open yet, we're aiming for it to be ready before the 16th of May, weather permitting. In the meantime, the 9th hole is still playing as a par 5, with a temporary green in place. Be advised — it’s a little bumpy for now, but that just adds to the challenge!

Due to safety concerns, we’ve had to move the tee forward, but rest assured, we’re working on a long-term solution. Despite the adjustment, the hole remains a true test of skill and strategy.

Big hitters may be tempted to go for the green in two, but beware: deep bunkers lie in wait for any mishits. A safer play is a controlled second shot to steer clear of the dense tea tree lining the fairway. As you approach the green, accuracy is key — steep bunkers guard the putting surface, and the green itself slopes sharply from back to front, making an uphill putt your best bet for success.

We look forward to seeing you on the course soon to take on this rewarding par 5!
